Refurbishment

The hall at Padworth was originally built in 1949 and has served the local community and surrounding areas well for many years since then. Today is has more than 300 booking every year and is used by a very diverse range of people for many different uses.

In order to continue to do this for many years to come, the structure which was built using what materials were to hand must be replaced. The committee felt it was prudent to begin this process now rather than wait for it to become more urgent if a problem were to develop and so fundraising was started in late 2012.

As of January 2014 we have achieved our target of £125,000 to refurbish the village hall. Our fund raising continues in order to allow additional works to be carried out to further improve the facilities for the future. The work to improve the hall is hoped to commence in July this year and be completed before September during the quietest period of use for the hall.

During the construction we will keep this page updated with the progress being made and exact dates of the work being carried out.
